Arsenal, Inc., the premier American importer and manufacturer of semi-auto rifles, is proud to offer to American shooters the Bulgarian-made SAM7R. This 7.62x39 caliber rifle combines authentic, high-quality features rarely seen in the American market. From its intermediate-length trapdoor buttstock to its removable four-port muzzle brake, every component of the SAM7R is engineered to provide decades of dependable and accurate service. The SAM7R rifle is bound to become a sought-after shooter and collectible firearm.

Arsenal’s Exclusive Milled And Forged Receiver
Each SAM7R receiver is milled from a hot-die hammer forged receiver blank by the Arsenal Co. of Bulgaria. Other milled-receiver AKs are machined from bar stock, but Arsenal’s hot-die hammer forging produces stronger and finer-grained steel. Internal voids and cooling deformations are eliminated by the 5-ton hammer forging process.

Each forged receiver blank requires over 5.5 hours of milling before assembly. This forging and milling process is complex and time-intensive, but Arsenal’s meticulous attention to detail delivers a receiver of unequalled strength, precision and durability

Hit some nice 10 inch groups from 300 feet at the range today with iron sights and Tula ammo. I was also pleased with the trouble free action of this rifle.

I've got a Hogue hand grip coming in the mail this week and shopping for some optics to apply to this fantastic investment.

    Thanks K-var Corp ;^)

The SAM7R-61 doesnt quite have as good a trigger as the model it replaced (SLR101), but it is a fairly good trigger anyway. Other than the trigger I cant tell any difference between the rifles except for the model number written on the side of the receiver. Great gun!

Super quality and the best AK variant on the market. Milled Bulgarian receiver and less expensive than some stamped receiver guns. Bought (2) Bulgarian 30-round waffle mags that fig as snug as a bug in a play and very high quality. Would recommend that anyone skip the AK entry process and go right to this gun for their first AK. Thanks, K-Var !!!!

This was my first AK purchase and I could not be more satisfied! The SAM7R-61 is a top quality Bulgarian milled AK. I shot 100 rounds of TulAmmo 122gr FMJ and WPA 123gr FMJ without a hiccup. I also bought the M-47W 30 rd magazine. The price for this milled AK is very reasonable in this "politically charged environment", and I'm surprised it's not a lot more, plus it's in stock! For those pining of days gone by when these rifles were a lot cheaper, get over it. Those days are long gone. And I wish gas was still $1.50 a gallon, but that's never going to happen again! Do your research. You're going to pay almost as much for a cheap stamped receiver that's inferior to this AK! Don't settle for less. Order it today, especially if you live in "left leaning" state like Maryland or Connecticut that's going to ban these rifles!

I bought a SAM7R-61, had delivery in a very short period of time and found it to be a great rifle. K-VAR was easy to deal with, price was right considering the prices of AR-15 and tp be honest I like the SAM7R more than my AR. Only thing I noted is that TAPCO mags don't seem to fit but K-VAR and Bulgerian fit well.

Just purchased this AK a few months ago and glad I did. It is my first AK, Ive shot about 400 rounds through it and it is flawless!! Another awesome note is that is was dead on accurate out of the box! Arsenal customer service is right on track as well, I did not read the book it came with first and was cleaning it with Hoppes #9 which is not good. Use ONLY break free CLP. Hoppes will start to take the finnish off!! If you get a purple stain on the cleaning cloth its because you are using the wrong solvent, which is not covered by the warrenty. Money well spent!

I am very familiar with the SAM7 series of rifles and they truly are "works of art" and are to my knowledge the finest AK rifles you can buy.
With the attached tactical fore end a person can finally have a properly fit tactical fore end that will accept the rifles cleaning rod to make the firearm more authentic in appearance. WHAT I WISH K-VAR//ARSENAL would do is to offer the quad rail separately for those of us who already own different milled Arsenal rifles and want to upgrade. The result will be a FLOOD of orders for the tactical fore end itself and there will always be a market for a SAM7 with the fore end already attached. The fore end should be made available as a stand alone item for sale for loyal Arsenal customers! Honestly, I hope someone at K-Var and or Arsenal are listening. I KNOW that BOTH items will sell without effecting the same of just the SAM7R-66. PLEASE SELL JUST THE FORE END!!

Love my sam7r61 I purchased from Kvar. I own several arsenal rifles and it is by far one of the nicest. It is heavy compared to stamped ak's, but you don't notice it while running and gunning. It is by far the softest shooting ak I have ever shot, softer than my Arsenal 5.45x39 and that is soft. Rapid follow up shots are extremely easy to perform. I have herd others complain about the finish, but the finish on mine is perfect and pretty darn durable.

Ran 200 rounds through it yesterday - performed flawlessly.
The heat shield on the grip is nice too! I was running through the mags fairly quick and the plastic didn't melt - and it was 95 degrees out. Cleaned up pretty easy too. This is hands my favorite rifle - either that I own or have shot. And that includes a SCAR Heavy, SCAR Light, AR's, Garand, SKS, anything. Love it.

Hello, I'm interested in the SAM7R-61 featured above and have a couple of questions. Tombstone has the same rifle for the same price however, there's an additional $38.00 dollar if a credit card is used. Is your price firm at 1260.03 or is there an additional charge too? Also does it include free shipping? I would also buy the M-47W. Thank you in advance,
    Peter D.
